Shuttle service

Have you ever wondered how many landing facilities exist in the United States and its territories? Currently, there are over 19,000 airports, heliports, seaplane bases, and other types of facilities that provide locations for aircraft to land. While not every state in the country has an airport, 31 states do have at least 1. Some states, in fact, have several different types of landing facilities to accommodate a variety of private and commercial aircraft.

There are 378 primary airports that provide scheduled commercial air service in the United States. In 2012 alone, for example, 33% of the business trips that were taken within the United States involved traveling by air. Commercial airlines continue to provide this valuable service for personnel that need to attend meetings, conferences, and engage with clients.

On a daily basis, over 3 million people travel around the world for both business and leisure purposes. This is possible due to being able to access airports that accommodate both American and foreign airlines. In addition to John F. Kennedy International, Chicago O’Hare International and Los Angeles International are just a few of the more familiar international airports that also provide domestic flights.

Airport shuttle services are used by many travelers because they are an easy, convenient, and reliable means to travel to-and-from the airport. Currently, there are roughly 16,000 shuttle buses and vans that are employed by charter services for this purpose.

Limousine companies also offer a convenient means of travel to the airport, hotels, and other destinations. Every year, they are able to safely transport roughly 400 million passengers so that they have a means of reliable transportation other than their own vehicles. While it does depend on the type of limousine, large stretch limousines can usually carry between 16 to 20 passengers comfortably.

Do you travel by air on a regular basis for either work or leisure? What type of transportation services do you use to access the airport? When you need a convenient and reliable shuttle to the airport, consider how easy it will be to take an airport shuttle rather than public transportation or your own vehicle.
